We act as the data controller for information processed through essaysbuddy.com.
2. What We Collect
- Technical / visit data (automatic): IP address, device and browser details, OS/language, pages viewed, timestamps, referrer/UTM, approximate location (city/region).
- Account data (you provide): name, email, hashed password, preferences.
- Order & payment data: order brief, uploads, invoice details, payment confirmations/last four card digits from our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
- Support & usage data: order history, tickets, notes necessary to operate the marketplace.
- Marketing choices: newsletter opt-in/out and related engagement.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data (e.g., health, beliefs). Please don’t include such information in orders or attachments.
3. Cookies & Similar Tech
We use cookies to run core site functions, remember settings, measure traffic (e.g., Google Analytics with IP masking where configured), and—only with your consent—support marketing.

5. How Long We Keep It
- Accounts & financial records: retained for statutory periods (typically up to 8 years under Hungarian rules).
- Order files & communications: up to 2 years after completion (longer if a dispute is open).

Data are securely deleted or anonymised once no longer needed.
6. Sharing Your Data

We apply industry-standard protections: HTTPS (SSL/TLS), hashed passwords, role-based access, backups and monitoring, vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure—please keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
9. Your Rights
Subject to GDPR, you can access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, port your data, and withdraw consent (for marketing).

10. Deletion Requests
Email whatsup@essaysbuddy.com with subject “Data Deletion Request”, including:
- the email linked to your account,
- billing details (if any),

last four digits of the payment card used (if applicable).
If we cannot verify your identity, we may be unable to act on the request
11. Children
Our Services are intended for 18+ only. We do not knowingly process children’s data.
